When I think of where my love for makeup began, I think of two distinct childhood memories: 1) Begging my aunt and mother to take me to the makeup counters to "play" and 2) Watching movies with classic Hollywood starlets adorning gorgeous, painted faces. Makeup was always my fascination and today, it is my inspiration, passion and career.
Currently residing in San Diego, a New England native, I joke that I cannot draw a stick figure to save my life, never could. However, put a set of brushes in my hands and give me some makeup and I'll create visually stunning art. Faces have always been my canvas. From a very young age, I could simply look at a person and "transform" their face in my mind.
To me, versatility and diversity is crucial for success as a professional makeup artist. You'll always see me with many different brands of makeup in my kit; I have my favorites that I simply cannot live without, and I have products yet to discover. That excites me.
I specialize in commercial, advertising and print makeup application. Additionally, you will often find me backstage at fashion shows, special events, and on set for film/tv. I've been lucky to work with very talented individuals and well-known actors, models and musicians. I draw inspiration in almost everything and everyone I encounter. The best part of my job is being able to meet and work with so many unique and inspiring people.
My love for art, music and fashion fuel me to push boundaries and come up with ideas never tried before. I enjoy creating looks that enhance an individual's beauty in addition to designing makeup looks that "wow" the viewer. To me, there is no greater compliment than someone asking, "How did you do that?"
