HI!
First and foremost, I am a big nerd. Yep, I was the one in high school and college in the Marching Band. I just over time switched my passion from music to photography. My creative compass has led me to where I am now.

I started off working for others in the event photography world. While I enjoyed it, I got tired of traveling all over the U.S. and only seeing the inside of convention centers. I moved on to a studio where I could learn the main components of traditional photography. It was there that I learned to love photographing babies and working with dramatic lighting.

I wanted to get out of the studio box and develop my own style. From there J.Guess Photography was born.

I love to photograph people as they are, but with a bit of style thrown in there. I can help pose and direct those who are nervous or are not sure what to do, yet go with the flow and capture random beautiful moments that can happen as you relax.

I love to strive for perfection, but understand that it is the flaws that can make the portraits amazing.
